Summer Employment Opportunities for Students with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism
Are you a student with an intellectual disability and/or autism?
Are you interested working this summer, learning new things, meeting new people, and earning some money?
Want to know what you will be doing?
· You could be doing anything from making pizza, serving guests, being part of a cleanup crew, cutting grass, washing golf carts, or anything else, depending on what jobs are available.
· Working with an employment/job coach, who can help and support you with your job responsibilities.
What are the top five things employers are looking for?
1. Be excited to go to work.
2. Are able to complete a number of different things depending on where you work.
3. Able to listen to and follow directions from your job coach and employer.
4. Report to work each day and be on time.
5. Open and available to work when you are needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
To be eligible for a job, you must currently:
· Have an intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder.
· Be a full-time student.
· Be between the ages of 15 and 30.
· Have a valid social insurance number.
· Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred.
Position Start Dates and Duration:
Approximately May 4th, 2026 (Up to 16 weeks) or June 29th, 2026 (Up to 8 weeks)
Hours of Work:
Between 15 to 40 per week.
Specific positions may require you to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Rate of Pay:
Minimum wage ($17.60 per hour)
